The Afiara String Quartet takes its name form the Spanish fiar, meaning “ to trust”.  This amazing quartet gives every piece they play a unique blend of energy, style and pizzazz.  Named the Julliard School’s new graduate resident string quartet, this all Canadian group won the Concert Artist Guild International Competition in New York.

Recipient of the 2007 “President of Italy” award  Pianist
Cristiana  Pegoraro was only sixteen when she graduated with highest honors from the Conservatory of Terni, Italy.  She has performed in the finest concert halls across Europe, the US, South America, Asia, the Middle East and Australia.  She includes music from Latin America and her own works in addition to the standard repertoire..
